Pollsters Rasmussen, Reuters/CSpan/Zogby and Quinnipiac- Should we be listening?

The campaign for President of the United States has been fought on many fronts. The candidates fight on the ground in each state, while the media gives us 24/7 coverage.
It is clear from the 24/7 coverage, particularly from watching certain cable channels, the coveraged is biased. I have never witnessed the unabashed negative 24/7 chatter currently being directed at Hillary Clinton. To call it sexist is not enough.
The disturbing lack of content about the candidates is clear. MSNBC would rather spend 24 hours a day bashing Hillary. Yesterday, there were two big news stories, one, the fight to free Tibet and the blocking of the "flame" ; the second, the taking of 400 plus children out of a compound. Yet, in spite of these fairly significant stories, Chris (let's destroy Hillary) Matthews, opened with Hillary, stayed on Hillary and closed with Hillary.
The news anchors and the negative coverage on one candidate is not my only concern. I expect all news anchor to cover real stories and to examine real information. To date, I find the coverage of the news simplistic and generally un-news-worthy.
The polls and Pollsters are quoted every day. Usually the boys at MSNBC discuss the polls when Hillary is "losing" ground. Chris Matthews is gleeful when he announces Hilllary is losing ground in Pennsylvania. I have yet to hear him report on Obama losing his 20 point lead in North Carolina. In fact, Obama has lost ground in several states and I have never heard discussions about the gap closing.. and THERE IS NO DISCLOSURE ON THE TRACK RECORD OF THE POLLSTERS
This gets me to my main point; no one is examining the polls. The news media which loves to report the polls has yet to do an analysis of the polls. This is particularly significant as most pollsters were completely wrong on the New Hampshire vote.
Hillary Clinton won New Hampshire 39% to Barack Obama's 36.4%. The polls going into this vote had it this way:
OBAMA CLINTON

Rasmussen 37 30
Reuters/CSpan/Zogby 42 29
American Res. Group 40 31
Marist 36 28

Obviously, these groups got it wrong.

Lets see how they did in other states
CALIFORNIA
Actual results Clinton 51.9% Obama 42.3%

OBAMA CLINTON
Rasmussen 45 44
Reuters/CSpan/Zogby 49 36
Reuters is off by 15%

OHIO
Actual results Clinton 54.2% Obama 44.1%

OBAMA CLINTON
Rasmussen 44 50
Reuters/CSpan/Zogby 44 44
Quinnipiac 49 45

While all these pollsters take polls daily and/or weekly, they mostly got it wrong in each situation.
Now we have Pennsylvania comiing up and the numbers appear to be tightening. Lets take a close look at each of these pollsters
PENNSYLVANIA
Obama Clinton
Rasmussen 3.31 42 47
3.24 39 49
3.12 38 51
3.5 37 56
2.26 42 46

Quinnipiac 4.8 44 50
3.31 41 50
3.16 35 51
2.26 43 49

Amer.Res. 4.6 45 45
3.27 39 51

PPD 4.1 45 43
3.16 30 56

Look hard at these polls. None of these pollsters had better than a 50/50 chance of being accurate. You can throw darts at a board and have better results.
It is time for two things to happen:
1. When these pollsters come out with numbers, it is essential the media report their rate of accuracy instead of presented them as "facts". DISCLOSURE
2. Scrutiniize these pollsters because not only are they presenting their inaccurate results, they are appearing on TV and touting their knowledge.
Clearly, their results are repeating and consistenly flawed. Let's begin "vetting" the pollsters so that further inaccuracies do not continue to be used in the meida by anyone for any reason.
